My AR is an Olympic Arms I bought some years ago new at a gun show. I usually don't mention the brand because I found that if I do, I usually get very snobby replies, or words to the effect of "you must be lying, OA ARs blow up when you fire them"...not one of the "cool kid" brands. That said, I've had very little trouble with it, and only when using steel case ammo, so I'd say that's MY fault for using the stuff, not the rifle's fault. This announcement makes me a little bit prouder to have purchased an OA. Will the "cool kid" brands (not counting LaRue, obviously) follow suit?

I have had an Olympic AR for many years now and it's been nothing but reliable. Has a factory stainless steel barrel and is in my experience more accurate than my Rock River. I don't know I guess maybe I'm just wierd cause I have a reliable Kimber 1911 too. LOL :thumbs2:

Not sure what it will change but maybe enough manufacturers will follow and people will notice.
