Sorry about that. My original point about medals for drone pilots was to motivate them to target "insurgent" homes.......inside the USA.......when "they" come to take the guns.
I thought it tied in nicely with the OP.

I love this line:
(4) if eligible, register the weapon as provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 624.7133, subdivision 5.
Gee, I wonder who is eligible?

OK, aside from the obvious Constitutional issues with this mess; Missouri IS the SHOW ME STATE (Minnesota, meh, who cares - their brains are too frozen for rational thought). Here's encouragement to our brothers in arms in Missouri to show them the business end of why this is such a bad idea......

This has me worried. My family owns quite a bit of land in Missouri. It's where we hunt. I've often thought of hunting up there with a AR10 if I ever get around to getting one.

Fox has posted an update to the story. I love this line:
“The only way this bill will pass is if a hammer and sickle is sewn onto Old Glory,” tweeted state Rep. Caleb Jones, a Republican.

That quote is awesome. I don't think it will pass either but there is plenty of room in Texas for any gun owners that want to migrate south if it were to pass.

Ellinger, Schupp, McNeill and Gray are all representatives from St. Louis county. Their districts are all suburbs of St. Louis city which is the number one most dangerous city for the 5 year period ending in 2009. I am sure they are seeing a lot of issues with gangs filtering in to their districts, and this is thier knee-jerk to trying to stop the issue.
The thing to remember is that Missouri is a very gun friend, predominantly rural state. I have two good friends that are representaitves there. I can tell you then predominance of the representatives will knock this down and I doubt it will ever see the light of day on the house floor.

Keith, I know you were an LEO and so probably like to give the benefit of the doubt whenever possible, but saying its simply a knee-jerk reaction gives those folks too much credit, as far as I'm concerned. They have to know that these bans don't do the least little thing to reduce crime. I'm not saying that no ARs have ever been used in crimes, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt that very many were being used in St. Louis in crimes that drove those numbers during that 5 year period. They just want to ACT LIKE they are doing something, IMHO, and something that plays well with their political "bosses". I am glad to hear that its unlikely to pass, for certain; the good people of Missouri don't deserve that sort of treatment any more than the rest of us would.

Well, see my first post in this thread and you will see what I think of Rory Ellinger. I think the others are just piling on.

Got it, my apologies, sir.

I have the pleasure of spending a lot of time in the St. Louis. I spend most of my time in Cahokia across the river(down town airport). Not a great part of town...
It's also the only place in the world that I have been and ended up with a bullet hole in the rear quarter panel of a rental car.

In a former life I drove semis hauling rail freight. I once had to pick up a load at the East St. Louis rail yard. I was told that once I got into that part of town I was to ignore all stop signs. Keep going until you get to the rail yard and don't stop for anyone. Incredulous, I said, "You've got to be kidding me. What if a cop sees me running a stop sign?" The response was that the cops were the ones who told them to do that. If you stop, they'll jump up on your cab, shoot you in the head and steal your truck.
I've never been so glad to get out of a place in my life as I was there.
