I too wondered about the amateurish slant of the memo. Is it a red-herring put out there for the NRA to snap up?

The ignorance of the useful idiot anti's and how little they know about guns, at least by some of the childish arguments they use, especially about the shoulder thingy that goes up is self evident.
However, lack of knowledge on their part is not going to stop their agenda.

To borrow from one of the comments on Youtube......if they require registration, those who don't register won't have "illegal" guns, just guns that are "undocumented."

Surely this opens up the possibility that the authorities will be knocking at your door with the excuse that they are searching your property for unregistered/undocumented firearms ?

The
actual document is a better read.
The video feels unnecessarily melodramatic.
Assuming the document is legit (and considering the source, I assume it's well vetted), it's pretty damning to Chairman O's "agenda".

That registration and confiscation are just around the corner if things go the way the libs want them to go. The sad thing is that the criminals, who don't follow laws, will not willingly give up
.
The criminals won't be the only ones not giving up tbeir guns.

Don't worry. The republicans will stop this from happening. The House is GOP controlled, right? Also, there are some dems that are up for reelection and they remember what happened after the 1994 ban. We are safe.

my opinion....yes...but not until all their "agents" are properly vetted and trained. And I don't consider myself a conspiracy kook.

Fox News has a decent article on these anticipated purchases.

Dixon said one of the contracts would allow Homeland Security to buy up to 750 million rounds of ammunition over the next five years for its training facilities. The rounds are used for basic and advanced law enforcement training for federal law enforcement agencies under the department's umbrella. The facilities also offer firearms training to tens of thousands of federal law enforcement officers. More than 90 federal agencies and 70,000 agents and officers used the department's training center last year
The rest of the 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition would be purchased by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal government's second largest criminal investigative agency.

Those agents must shoot pretty good with all that practice.

Let's not forget economy and availability. If you were charged with maintaining the supply of training ammunition for 70,000 plus folks and given a fixed dollar budget to accomplish your task would you not investigate the most cost effective ways to do so. If you had records of pre and post 2008 election ammunition sales that showed escalating cost and limited availability would you not move to secure your supply in the event of President Obama's re-election through long term contracts with reputable suppliers?
How many local and state agencies are, post-election, unable to secure reliable supply? How many members of this forum are unable to acquire ammunition for their own use at anything approaching an affordable price?
