Yo, KMooneyham; I didn't say I was going to give up the fight - EVER. My message is cautionary; many/most in Washington are slaves to the special interest dollars they get; not all; certainly not Ted Cruz; yet (hopefully NEVER!!). Unfortunately, the spoils of office have corrupted many a good man/woman, let alone the ones who were morally bankrupt narcissists before they ever got to DC. My message is that the thinking man, NEVER believes what he sees in the media, or hears from a politician. It's a challenge for all to form their own opinions, and follow their instincts. Vote for the representative, REGARDLESS OF PARTY AFFILIATION, that you believe in AND are willing to support with your dollars and time. That's all. Thank you for engaging in the discussion
Honest debate leads to clarification of thoughts and messages. We're all pretty much of the same mind on this site, which is why I like to hang out here so much. At the same time, I'm happy to throw out a hot sports opinion that brings a deeper discussion of an issue from time to time. Feel free to read any of my other posts if you have doubts about where I land on the issues of the 2nd ammendment and our current administration. Cheers my patriot brother!!

It sounds like you're agreeing with him. When people tell me Texas Republicans are pro gun, I ask them how long it took the 2/3 Republican majority to pass campus carry in 2011.K.Mooneyham wrote:And if you truly believe that, the leftwing press has indeed done their work well. They have you not caring anymore...but guess what, the Obamanation will be rallied to vote for the next hard-core leftwinger they nominate.bagman45 wrote:I'm starting to sound like a broken record on this, but here goes: Democrats, Republicans; same stuff, different stack....
Additionally, if you think its easy to fix a national party, then why don't we look at just the politics in THIS state...surely, with all the fine conservatives and libertarians in our state, we could get things running right here in Texas at least. NOPE, we still end up with folks we don't like in charge of things we don't want them in charge of

Sometimes, I wish I were elegant like TAM or an English major instead of a mechanic. I do a terrible job of explaining things. Let me try something simpler so I won't mess it up. We have to fix things by voting for better people in the primaries, to weed out those who backdeal us. That AIN'T going to happen in the Democrat Party, so our only option is to do so in the Republican Party.tbrown wrote:It sounds like you're agreeing with him.
