I wonder if all the city and county stolen gun registries are linked with state and federal?

So do 51% signs, 30.06 signs, and other restrictions that force us to leave weapons vulnerable to theft.
I wonder how many criminals have benefitted from this?

About the summer of 2009, a friend of mine was the victim of firearm-related burglary.
He and his co-workers had gone for a night out at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Since a 51% bar was their
destination, he left his Springfield Armory XD, .40, 4" barrel, in his Ford Ranger, under the seat. Along with his spare mags.
When the party returned to the parking lot, Fort Worth PD was there, taking reports of multiple vehicle breakins from other people.
My friend's Ranger window was broken. The thieves had found the spare charged .40 mags, but being stupid they
didn't continue searching for the Springer itself. So he retained his pistol, but had to buy new mags.

If the cities and counties are doing their job it is.
