Since you have the 3-dot on your Glock, I would suggest staying with them.
I have two Kahr's with night sights and they are 3-dot. However, I have two more Kahrs with normal sights that are very similar to the straight eights. As I said, the Straight Eights grow on you, but you need to hit the ground running.
If given a choice, I do prefer contrasting colors on the 3-dots.
