The course has 3 extra holes so it is 21 holes. Cart and green fees run 23 dollars on the weekend. It is a great practice course.

Nope but they didn't have the right to protect themselves either. I just choose not to carry on the golf course which is my right.

I grew up playing golf with my Dad and brother. I actually got pretty good at it. If I didn't have a score in the 75 to 79 range each time I played, I was irritated. I gave up the game about 10 years ago, just walked off the 18th green on day and never went back. I started attempting to play again this past year. It is a humbling experience to try to play now. I realize how I used to play, but am no where near that level now. If I break 90 now, it is a good day. I don't carry on the course.

Quit playing golf several years ago but recently discovered that a well placed 45 acp round on a ball will drive it better than I ever could with a club.

I have already explained the 21 holes, please read the entire thread. I apologize if using the word A-- offended anyone on here. I may have violated the ten year old rule, but really in todays age, I am not sure that the word used really violates the 10 year old rule.

Once again there is a differance between carrying while shopping and carrying while golfing IMHO. I don't feel the need to carry while golfing, I leave it in the truck. Just like I don't feel the need to carry while playing softball, baseball, football, soccer, basketball, or while swimming. I could get robbed or shot playing any of those sports, yet I think it would be purely foolish for someone to carry while playing any of those.

Please provide specific statistics that point out you are more likely to get robbed golfing than in any other sport. You seem to forget that you exert torgue and have considerable motion while swinging a golf club. Golf is just not about walking its about swinging a golf club.

Sishing and hunting is different than golf you can be isolated and miles from anyone. On a golf course you are surronded by other groups. Sorry that I just don't buy into the fact that a golf course is a high risk area where robberies occur with such frequency that I need to carry on a golf course. Some people carry and I reserve the right to not carry if I so choose.

LOL, who's upset? There is nothing in my post that even remotely suggests that I am upset or defensive about anything. Since you are a young guy you might want to get a few more "years" under your belt before flying off with unfounded remarks.

I completely respect your right to carry or to not carry. Where would we be without that right. I certainly rather have the choice.

I think the point most are attempting to make is the places we once thought to be safe are no longer as safe as we would like or think. You never know when some crazy person is wanting to inflict harm on others. Golf Courses are probably considered low risk until something happens, just like Schools, Churches, or the Ball Park. Granted Schools are off limits to us but when I send my kids to School I would like to think they are safe... I do not feel that way any longer and have not for sometime. Something has to change.

Like LT's Signature.... Carry 24/7 or guess right. However, depending on ones life style its difficult to carry 24/7, and I am one of those. Good thing we do not need a license for a Firm Shaft Driver with a 420 head. : )
