Nah, the volume of calls will be used as the reason we need more taxes levied on "the rich" because they "don't pay their fair share" anyway. It will also be used as the reason the DHS needs another budget increase to hire more unionized government workers.

So they want to "keep a close eye on things." So far we have facial recognition cameras, pre-crime surveillance cameras, voice recorders, mobile backscatter vans, aerial drones and automated license plate readers. They know which websites we visit, they can read our email...that's not enough!?

I wonder how these control freaks would like it if a couple of DHS officers followed them around all day and stared them in the face? Because that's how I'm starting to feel. They have nothing to hide so I'm sure they'd be okay with it.

With all that they can't stop a guy they were warned about from blowing people up on an international broadcast event. :headscratch

But there was no hot-line for their friends and family to turn them in. That is why a couple of teen-agers were able to fly under the radar of the Boston Police and all of these US intelligence agencies:

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
United States Department of Defense
Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
National Security Agency (NSA)
National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)
National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency (AFISRA)
Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM)
Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA)
Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)
United States Department of Energy
Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (OICI)
United States Department of Homeland Security
Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A)
Coast Guard Intelligence (CGI)
United States Department of Justice
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of National Security Intelligence (DEA/ONSI)
United States Department of State
Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR)
United States Department of the Treasury
Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI)[6]

I might point out that this hasn't slowed down CPS in the slightest.

The Stasi in the former East Germany would be proud. I heard a story once that a person the Stasi recruited as a spy (on his neighbors) would brag about it at work, just so they would leave him alone. After all, if everyone knew you were a spy, you weren't very effective.

My neighbor's neighbor also has a problem, and I will rat him out at the first opportunity.
