Sent my application 11 days ago and my account still says waiting for information. How long should I give it before I follow up with them to make sure they aren't missing anything?

I tried calling twice and was given the canned answer "It could take 30 days for your paperwork to show as received". It doesnt hurt to try as you may get on the phone with a very helpful rep that will explain the situation better.

Yep. What I experienced was not the norm. 30 days is typical.

08.04 - completed course
08.05 - online application completed, fee paid
08.06 - fingerprints done
08.07 - all affidavits/extra info
08.19 - update that application/background under review, all else completed

Emailed my paperwork 2 weeks ago, fingerprints 8/13, Manufacturing Pending today. I think this is a great turnaournd.

I shouldn't complain, but admit I'm a tad frustrated. When I logged in Friday morning, the status showed my CHL was mailed. Well.... got the mail today, and still not here. I've never mailed anything in TX that took more than 3 postal days to get somewhere. And I was ready to go buy a glock and drop down my CHL to speed things up....

Im right there with you. Mine showed mailed on Thursday 8/15 and still didn't come today. Im in DFW by the way.

I'm in DFW as well. That's just great. I guess their definition of "mailed" is different than yours and mine.

Yea hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Im just not a very patient person haha

Recieved today makes it a 21 day turn around. Good thing the mail man was early today I don't think I could have waited any longer.

I agree it's worth a call. After emailing, I got all paranoid - what if I didn't attach in an acceptable format? What if the attachments failed, etc. I called and said, I apologize, don't want to be pushy, just wanted to be certain that they didn't require a certain document type/format. The guy kinda gave me the basic, "you should be fine" answer, then I said thanks. But, he said hold on, asked for my personal info and said he would verify everthing was there, which he did, and even said my prints were there, too. That was nice to just know everything was fine. I've been happy with the experience so far. Prints were last thing I needed, done on 8/13; card shows mailed today.
