If the gun is in your car, and the gun is stolen, think twice about reporting it stolen from your employer parking lot. I have seen people fired for making that report and their work finding out they had a gun on property.

Thanks for the advice texanjoker. My car is parked close to the bldg. at a window where right by me. close to the entrance. There are no gun buster signs in the parking lot just a gun buster by the front door. Even if they knew I had a gun in the car they wouldnt fire me because I'm a level 2 Senior IT tech working for very low wages!!! :smilelol5: "rlol"
I know a few guy here that have CHLs & do the same think. I have never let them know I have a CHL because I dont trust anyone in this Gossip Bldg. :rolll
I dont tell my friend either. Just my wife- Kids & mother. :fire

Here's how I honestly feel....
My gun goes with me & stays in the car. If it's stolen ... I have another one. If they fire me because I'm Legally carrying concealed in my car then so be it. I'm tired of living in fear of anti-Gun people. I've had enough!

I can always be a Wall-Mart greater! There all my age & they probable pay more! "rlol" :txflag:

With the parking lot bill, that isn't a problem any longer.

A company can fire you for any reason, except those prohibited by law, so I never worried about it.

That's incorrect. They cannot fire you as you are protected by law now, previously it wasn't a protected situation.

I think that's what he said, just differently.

I'm surprised how many people have commented not understanding a law that was passed over 2 years ago, protecting employees. I don't care what an employee manual says, the law is clear. It cost money for companies to make changes such as that, and especially tricky if they're in more than 1 state or country. Either way, they know, state law trumps company policy.

Just be aware that you can be fired any time for any reason (or none at all). An employer can let you go and they need not tell you why.
