It looks like Alien is the same manufacturer as Old Faithful.

I also notice, not one pic of the backside of the holster showing the fuzzy side. ;)
What makes you say that?
The style, guarantee, contact address (both Fort Smith AR). That should do it . . .

Doesn't do it for me. The names of the head guys are different and the address in Ft. Smith are different and the warranties are only similar. I suspect on of the employees from Old Faithful left them and started their own shop thinking they have they've create the better mousetrap/holster.

Then again, we both could be wrong.

Yes, the Crossbreed IS adjustable for cant. The difference is that the Crossbreed has 3 holes in the leather instead of holes in the clip. So maybe they weren't as obvious in photos that you've seen.

I have a CTAC, MTAC, and Crossbreed. All 3 are comfortable to me, but I don't have a lot of mileage on any of them yet. None have become my edc holster. They are more my weekend holster. I find putting them on in the car when I get out of work is not so easy, so I prefer something with a single clip for workdays. The CTAC is not as comfortable, but as someone else pointed out, you can put moleskin on the back. This is talked about commonly on some other CTAC threads.

I like the Infidel design better than the CTAC, because it's so easy to put on and take off.
Charles, are you using the single belt clips/loops, or the Infidel with one of the extra side struts ? I was worried about stability of a heavier gun like the 5" 1911 without the additional clip provided by the CTAC strut on the Infidel. But, then I guess it's harder to get on and off and I might as well wear the MTAC or whatever. Take a look at the different setups for clip arrangements on the Infidel in the middle of the page on the link I posted. The Ultra looks like a nice rig.

When I'm not pocket carrying I'm carrying using my MTAC. I have kydex bodies for my Kahr CM9 and for my XD 45 Compact. In both cases it works really well. It took me quite awhile to find a cant that was comfortable and concealed the best but I got there. I haven't had it long enough to speak to long-term durability.

As far as customer service, CompTac has been great. My wife ordered my holster for me for Christmas. She ordered a left-side carry for me, since I'm left handed, not knowing that I carry and shoot right-handed. They took it back no questions asked and replaced it with a right-hand carry holster. They also give me a small discount on a nice kydex core gun belt that I also use whenever I carry IWB.

I have used CTAC some, but really think there Infidel Holster is the best. I have been using it for well over a year now. I have one for my Sig P228, S&W Shield, and my S&W M&P 9c.

They also have TOP NOTCH customer service. :thumbs2:

I can see how the Infidel is nice, especially if you take it on/off several times a day. I see myself wearing for most of the day, so that may not be as important to me.

I considered AIWB carry options, but I have an aftermarket seat on my car that is not very forgiving, and I don't feel that would be as comfortable. Anything outside of an ankle holster is going to be a bit uncomfortable with the race seat setup I have.

I use the Minotaur daily as I almost always tuck my shirt in, both for work and casual. Been using it for over 3 years with and without an undershirt. I have tried other holsters and always come back to the minotaur.

Ordered the MTAC the other day and it already arrived! Been wearing it around and it feels good so far. Great service and zero regrets with the purchase. I had to slightly loosen the tension screws as drawing and holstering was too tight, but works good so far. :woohoo

I've started wearing my MTAC & I gotta say, it's comfortable. The only thing that's a thorn in my side (pun intended) is the grip. It makes me think the Kholster would be nice or a non-combat cut of the MTAC (do they even off this option anymore?). Makes me also glad I've not stippled the grip.
