I do the following with all of my pistols the same.
1. Field strip and lube what is necessary.
2. I shoot only round nose FMJ and I stop and field strip every 100 rounds for the first 200 rounds.
3. I shoot the next two hundred rounds without field strip.
5. I then shoot 100 rounds of my carry rounds.
If there are no failures and I field strip it, clean it, load the magazine, chamber a round, top off the magazine, and carry away.
I just do not feel comfortable running 100 rounds through a pistol and then depending on it for my ever day carry.
