You're talking about them. You took the bait. They won.
How? I don't watch their show or anything they are on or sell, including news or tv shows that talk about them.

Stereotype much, do we?
Makes you wonder what people say about him when he leaves the room.
Usually its something about parts of a horse.

They won because you are talking about them. They have proven that there is no such thing as bad publicity, only publicity. You may not be buying their products but your public disdain for them may very well result in someone else that would not have purchased their product doing just that. It is pure genius.
BTW, thanks for being a good sport with my ribbing.

That "mouthing breathing hillbilly" Phil is actually highly educated and extremely rich. On top of that, he leads a loving close nit family. Seems pretty success from the most important aspects to me.

So? Jesse James made lots of money too. I wouldn't buy a shotgun with his name on it either.

Are you going to judge folks on their skin-color next?
Please. Their whole shtick is redneck.
Speaking of, Phil made this epic statement:
“I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. We’re going across the field…. They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word!… Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues.”
And people were resisting hoses, dogs, hangings, and night stick wielding cops because they were...bored?

So?
Wow!
Was Jesse a highly educated family man that earned his money that lead a close nit family of upstanding citizens or a thief and killer?

Those "mouth-breathing hillbillies" have amassed a considerable fortune. They are all educated. The patriarch has a masters degree. They've never hurt a soul outside their family. They are deeply patriotic. They fed and sheltered the poor and hungry loooooong before they were themselves rich and famous, based on a long held family tradition. While maintaining their personal social and religious conservatism, they take a very libertarian view of the roles of government and the Constitution in our lives. . . . . .just like I do.
Are they perfect human beings? No. None of us is. Not even Cedar Park Dad. But I would submit that those who disparage them do so from a position of ignorance about who they are as human beings. Most of us have said something stupid at some point in our lives, even Cedar Park Dad. The Robertson family members have been extremely transparent about who they are, about the sins of their past, and their belief in God's grace and mercy......not just for themselves, but for others as well. You don't have to necessarily share their religious outlook to understand that these are good and decent people who make no pretensions about being better than anyone else.
A&E owns the network, and it is theirs to do with as they wish. Apart from the storm of bad publicity it cost the network, particularly in social media, the Roberson family themselves appeared to have been unfazed by the whole thing, and were quite prepared to respect A&E's decision and to vote with their feet and take the show somewhere else, or to cancel it entirely. What they weren't willing to do was to compromise their beliefs to stay on A&E, anymore than they would try to force A&E to compromise the network's standards by caving in. You just can't get anymore libertarian—and respectful of A&E's rights in the matter than that.

By the way, I have watch only a few episodes and do not consider myself a big fan. However, because they don't look like me, I will not disparage them. I do respect much about them and for what they believe and stand.
That's all I got to say about that.

Then don't knock on me for calling them one.
I'm glad they made money. So did the Kardashians. They have no qualifications such that their name makes me want to buy one of their shotguns, any more then if a Kardashian or Justin Bieber had a line of shotguns. Sorry if that annoys you.

On his statement about black people he is describing HIS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with particular black people he personally knew and that those particular people were "not singing the blues".
Blowing this out into some sort of supposedly ignorant statement that no black people were persecuted is the height of libtard hypocrisy. He is merely describing the people he knew. Others then respond incredulously that other blacks were persecuted, thus attempting to perpetuate the racist myth that all black Americans are a single universal monolith of identical experience that serves liberal political purposes.
In the libtard mind, not towing the party line makes you an ignorant redneck racist.

I have no problem with them taking advantage of their stardom. They are a hot commodity. Even saw girl /ladies products like nail polish and cosmetics. Now, if they were to design some new innovative gun, and I mean totally design, not just add their logo to it, then it may be worth buying. For now, I'll pass on the same old Mossberg in Uncle Si OD Green, or Willie Real Tree pattern.

Kardashians and Beibers haven't been hunting ducks in Louisiana for generations. These Robertson folks apparently have (I don't watch the show). I'd say that alone makes them infinitely more qualified to put their brand on a shotgun than the other celebreality stars you mention.
