Lewisville Wally World got in one case of Federal .22 bricks a day or three ago and it was gone as soon as it came out of the cart about 30 minutes before I arrived. I was just in time tho for unpacking of 9mm Win white box 100 rounders and scarfed down on 3 for OTD of $85.

Bought daughter a Walther P22 and was hoping to take her this weekend so she could shoot, but with the place we go is probably under water by now.
Mine Ruger SR1911
Wife FNP-9
Daughter Walther P22 .22LR
I gave up at even looking for 22 at Walmarts locally. The employees call friends and family when they get a shipment and it's gone before it hits the shelves.

Yes! The LOCAL hardware store had Federal Automatch .22 LR for $100/325 round box BUT the LOCAL Walmart had none. This would be in Jacksonville, TX that I'm talking about.

In their case it sounds like they're too proud of it to sell it. However, I actually heard one of those employee calls taking place.

I was fortunate enough to find over 2500 .22 cartridges in my father-in-law's gun cabinet after he passed away. And found three more boxes in the laundry room cupboard last week. Most are .22LR but there are a few boxes of .22 WMR and one 100 count brick of shorts. I only have two .22LR rifles and one Ruger Single Six convertible so I'm good for a long time.
Oh, I also have an NAA .22 convertible that the bride uses for a pocket gun.
There is a guy on TexasGunTrader.com who is selling bulk .22LR for 13 cents a round. Seems to have a ton of it.
Another guy on that site has about 700 rounds, various makes, of .22 for $50. That's about 7 cents a round.
Several other listings for .22 rounds for sale on that website.

He'll probably keep that .13 cents per round stuff for a while, but might be able to sell the .07 cent per round stuff. It is starting to show up in Walmart with a little more regularity. I've seen some once or twice a month for the past 3 months now.

I always seem to be a day late. The WalMart's in Missouri City are always out.
