Why does this statement remind me of the movie, Meet The Parents?

I guess I was reading the question to ask about shooting with folks we feel are safe at the range. If the question was meant to ask about shooting with folks we are socially connected with, that is a different matter. Everyday life being what it is, many of the folks I would enjoy hanging with at the range don't always have the same schedules for running off as I do. But I would probably not be hanging with a person at the range I wouldn't get along with socially anyway.

Worry about it or not, we cannot control who is at the range with us and they are not always safe. It is not something I "worry" about either, but it is still there. The new place I shoot at claims the glass between the lanes is bullet resistant...hope it is...LOL.

I have a good buddy who has a range he built on 12 acres out in the boonies. Every once in a blue moon he will have half a dozen people out there shooting with him that I have never met in my life. I normally just stand there behind them and watch on those days. He will ask me, "When ya gonna shoot?" I say "When everybody else leaves." It is much easier to watch muzzles that way :).

Just my .02,
