Back in 2000 I was managing a trucking company. We had a driver who had acquired a cute little single shot .45 derringer that he had in his go bag. While on a run to Boston he discovered he was diabetic by passing out. He managed to pull over and when the police arrived they took him to the hospital and searched his truck. I had to fly another driver to Mass. to pickup the truck and 1 year later when he got out I routed another driver through to pick him up and bring him home.

He was in the hospital a year? The police charged him and the courts convicted him of possession of the gun and he was sentenced to a year?

I experienced the same shocked expression. I avoid that part of the country if at all possible.
