Thanks for the feedback. I've trying to squeeze the nickels to get a few more rounds at the range. I'm sure most of you have sent far more rounds down range than I have, so I value your opinions.

I've never been able to get through to them on the phone, but when I go there, I find them to be very personable. It is, indeed a serve-yourself kind of place, and they don't always have what I want, but I've never been there to find them out of 9mm.
Couple thousand rounds, and not a single glitch...

When we went they were out of the basic stuff so they sold us hollowpoint target-shooting ammo at the same price. Thought that was pretty decent of them.

I have purchased online twice - 1000 rnd Blaster 9mm and 1000 rnd new. No problems whatsoever and I am happy with it. I was in the area of the store a couple of days ago so I decided to make a visit. (went to the Gander Mountain as well) The shelves weren't bare, but supplies varied by caliber. The had a lot of .45 and 9mm bullets in stock, I think they had some .38/.357 as well. The prices on their products were good as well as some of the more popular low end ammo ( wolf, tula), but name brand shotgun shell prices were nothing great; Academy and WalMart are cheaper. The clerk didn't acknowledge us when we entered or left and stayed on the phone the whole time. Strictly self serve and cash only.

I haven't used their ammo, a buddy of mine and fellow NRA instructor shoots a ton of it and I haven't heard any complaints. I've bought thier bullets before they are as good as any and better than a lot.

My first time there so I thought it was their policy. There was a hand written sign on the door "Cash Only"

Thats different. I also bought on CC the last time I went in. I'm not usually in the habit of carrying around several hundred dollars. Anytime I have more than $20 my family magically appears and helps "lighten the load" that my wallet has to carry.

I have personally gone through about 1500 rounds of 9mm and probably 500 rounds of .45 ACP without any feed or extraction issues. I have used both their remanufactured as well as their new ammo. I tend to buy the new because it's only about $.01 per round more expensive than the remanufactured (at least in 9mm) and I'm willing to pay the extra $10 / 1000 rounds to have all new brass. I attend a weekly tactical training class and most of the instructors and others shooters use Freedom Munitions ammo including their Blaster training ammo. I think their ammo tends to be a little hotter than similar PMC Bronze and Federal that I also shoot. One night, one of the other shooters asked me if I had switched to .40 cal because of the size of the muzzle flash and percussion with the 9mm.
In the interest of full disclosure, one of the co-owners of Freedom Munitions frequently participates/runs the tactical class. Funny, when he runs the class, we tend to send a lot more lead down range than other nights.

I've shot a few hundred of their 9mm-- no issues. I see a number of boxes lying about at ranges and matches.
I have a small stash of their 38spcl. Shot 1 box and so far OK.

During the depth of the Obama Bullet Bubble II they in no way set up a system that that you go to showing what they have in stock that day that they kept constantly updated and would only take orders as they had stock.
I would in no way recommend them to anyone, and indeed don't trust them nearly enough to have a Beretta 92 and four mags full of them, in the last ditch Alamo spot in the bathroom for the Wife. I don't trust them at all.
