In Serra Leon, a city with a million people, a woman tested positive for Ebola, but relatives forcibly removed her from the hospital.

Update: she was recovered, but died in the ambulance.

Second American has tested positive for Ebola. One is a Texas doctor helping out in Liberia. So far no cases have been reported outside of Africa. However, they are having trouble keeping a lid on it and outside assistance is being blamed for the outbreak by locals.

It's the major headline on Drudge Report.

"Ebola only a plane flight away"

Germany accepts it's first Ebola patient. It is thought it is the most experienced Ebola researcher in the world.

It is believed to be at the request of the WHO.

If that Liberian man had made it to Minnesota like he had planned to in August, it would have been here. I think at this point it's only a matter of when especially with this current strain's 3 week incubation period.

Starting to get really serious. Drudge Reports had ten links this morning on Ebola.

Maybe for this outbreak, there is something new in this strain of Ebola. It is stretching wider and the outbreak is lasting 3X or more longer. Usual outbreak would be burn it self in couple months. This one it is going strong after the 6th month.

When people travel out of the outbreak areas it can continue longer that when it is confined to a remote area.

Here's a great idea. Two patients are coming to the US, and are going to be treated at Emory University in Atlanta.
But, don't worry, the CDC is overseeing everything. God help us.

No need to fear.

The wonderfully honest administration that told you "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan" and "There isn't a smidgen of corruption at the IRS" has told us there's nothing to worry about Ebola in the U.S.

CDC chief now says, uh, maybe Ebola could come here, but don't worry - it still wouldn't spread because we're so good at containing infections diseases.

Details here.

The country can have full confidence in this agency that stuck live smallpox cultures in an untracked cardboard box in storage and exposed scores of its own workers to anthrax.
