 Hate to break it to you guys, but the average seldom-cleaned shower stall has all the same bacteria. Just in less plentiful supply. Turning on that shower head to full force creates aerosols that are not exactly pristine.  That was the rather eye opening discovery from a microbiology experiment in college.  If my gun was in the unhappy spot described in the OP, I wouldn't be any happier than anyone else but there would be nothing to do but snag it out and clean it up. My brother is a plumber and I can imagine he would have a really hard time keeping his composure if he got this call.
    Hate to break it to you guys, but the average seldom-cleaned shower stall has all the same bacteria. Just in less plentiful supply. Turning on that shower head to full force creates aerosols that are not exactly pristine.  That was the rather eye opening discovery from a microbiology experiment in college.
