So which is better? Eagle or Blazer?

You haven't been shopping there for a while I guess

Blazer is now $6.87 a box.

But, good news for the weekend is that Outdoor Marksman is running a hugh sale on Federal Eagle 9mm for $6.99 a box and Blazer 9mm for $5.99 a box.

Sale good through May 13

I would say that they are both great ammo. I took a thousand rounds of the American Eagle in 9MM out to Vegas with me and it ran great. It is not as clean as the Blazer aluminum, but it is about as hot.

I can't speak for the 45ACP.....I would have to take on a part time job to shoot those regularly

The Infidel is much more friendly to love handles.
Yep :iagree: . I bought the Infidel for my Glock 29 and it is much more comfortable than my Blade Tech. I will probably end up with a Tucker Answer when it's all said & done.

Someone must have read this thread and made it to WalMart before me.

Went today at lunch time to pick up a few hundred rounds for my daughter to shoot. She's out of school for the summer and her CHL class is just few weeks away.

There was not a single box of 9mm (of any type) on the shelves. There was no attendant at the counter, so I didn't get to ask if they had any in the back.

Oh well, I've still got 200 rounds stashed away that she can burn up......that ought to be enough.

So much for picking up any "cheap" ammo for this weekend.

If you go to the Wal-Mart sporting goods dept and discover that they are out of cheap ammo, ask to speak to the manager. Let him know that you are very disappointed at the selection, and may need to take your business elsewhere. (But do so in a calm, non-threatening tone.)

I've discovered that this helps.

Does this cause them to go find more? Or order more for the future?

Get a good progressive reloading press. It will pay for itself much sooner than you think. In the long run, it is money well spent. Prices will only go up.

Let's say 100 rounds. That takes me about 2 hours with a single stage press. That said, I'm a bit anal about reloading and really take my time.

The thing I like about reloading is that it helps keep me out of trouble. For those couple of hours my wife knows exactly where I am! :)

Dillon says my 650 will spit out 800-1000 per hour. I have never been in that much of a hurry!
