I'm with you on the border issue and the above, but are you saying contacting the Special Force General in charge and relaying your wishes will it make it happen?

No, I can't do anything except express an opinion, which I will definitely do since I renew my "complainer's card" at every primary and general election. I just wanted to know who was the boss, what rank, etc. out of general curiosity.

P.S. I'm with you about the complainers card. I hope the rest of the country follows through when it's time to vote. Make that the conservative complainers. Perhaps, the socialists will be too demoralized to vote.

I agree with you about the vote. For those that don't vote, I don't even care about your opinion. If you vote, if we disagree, we can enjoy hearty debate on the issues!

Depends on how you look at it. Lt Gen Cleveland commands USASOC, which includes Special Forces Command (Airborne) along with other special operations commands. The OP asked who commanded Special Forces.

Special forces is small in numbers and large in budget already (with good reason) if we open the flood gates for special forces then the cost to the American tax payers will be tremendous. We also can't just turn the job over to SOCOM and let them run wild because that just isn't how our military works and no matter who is the CiC that could spell disaster.

I think it's safe to say that special forces are already on the ground giving ISIS a very hard time and it's a shame that no one else in that region seems to care enough to want to roll back the evil that's in their backyard.
