My wife and I love west TX but work is in Houston. When kids are out of the house we will look seriously at moving. Between the dry air and scenery I think it's hard to beat. I believe they have a few nice ranges out there but don't know for sure. They'll need to when I move.

So far as allergy shots they dont work for everyone.
You may also want to have your IGE levels checked.

Around here the advertisement is immunotheraphy that's sub-lingual... IE - drops you do yourself... It's on my to-do list.

knotquiteawake, I did the allergy shots in ~1962 and they seemed to work. No tests since, but my wife's recent test was inconclusive.

cheezit, interesting read! Our symptoms don't match but it is good to know about such things.

George - I looked up Alpine, TX and it sounds quite a lot like heaven. If I could promise her fast internet U-Haul might have a rental. And if the layoff rumors at work are true - not walking away until they point me to the door and kick, or they carry me out on a stretcher.
