Mass exodus of Jews from France. If you can't get a gun to protect yourself, the police are unarmed, and your being targeted, what choice do you have?
Interesting how terrorists in France have automatic weapons. Where mass killers in America do not.
Do strict gun laws cause criminals to get more firepower?
Just a guess, but I think so.
Ever hear the expression "Might as well be hing for a sheep as a lamb"? When the penalty for a full auto AK-47 is close to the penalty for a 9 mm pistol, there is no point in settling for the little one.

The last time I was in Paris I was walking down the street and witnessed a demonstration of their anti-terrorist team.

Interesting that one of the French police units involved in responding to the terrorist attacks has standardized on the Ruger Mini-14:

Someone on another forum said it was a Ruger AC556, which is a full auto version of the Mini-14.

The way that one officer has his rifle strapped around his neck makes me wonder if he's trying to hang himself with it. He obviously doesn't have much of a clue what he's supposed to do with it.
A very sad time for the French. They gave up much of their Liberties for Security and now they have neither.

Huge protests in France and other European countries. Protest against terror.
this
You can bet those terrorists will think twice about attacking again after these
unarmed protesters get through with them.
All this is is a massive feel good display. They might as well all start singing kumbaya.
If these thousands were armed with the will to use the arms it would be a different story.
If those prosecuting the war against terror would drop the politically correct rules of engagement and grind the scum into a bloody pulp it would stop. We know they will not. The clown in chief will not even say the words Islamic terrorist.
How can countries with people imprisoned for "hate speech" claim they believe in "free speech"?
While all this reaction to the France event was going on Boko Haram killed over 2000 in Nigeria, mostly women, children, and elderly who could not outrun them. Unarmed populations continue to be slaughtered globally.
We are doomed.

Yes. Why go less than full auto when you're going to prison if you get caught either way?
