Heard on the radio this afternoon that they are still "considering" charges, and that there was no firearm in the "shotgun case".

What charges could be made for "shaking" an empty shotgun case at somebody?

Sounds now like maybe more than just a empty gun case .... http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2015/02/10/fris ... ver-noise/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With an AK in it.....

..... hey, waitaminute! What were you doing using a tennis-racket bag instead of a proper violin case? [TAM studiously avoids the part about Andy being in drag.....]

I don't know much about this case but this is what I gather from what I've read:
A woman is in her own backyard concealed from view by a fence or bushes. A worker hears something so she climbs on top of something so she can see into the woman's backyard and sees something she describes as a gun case.
I don't understand the problem. The woman has every right to OC in her backyard. I've heard police say their is nothing they can do about someone playing loud obscene music during the day in their own yard so I don't see how a woman cussing in her backyard would be any different.
When I built my house I put in a swimming pool with a hot tub. We built a privacy fence. A house was built next to us and the neighbor built a play center for their kids with a tall crows nest that allows them to look directly into our backyard. We don't skinny dip or do anything other than relax in the hot tub, but I am sure others with our setup do. I have often wondered as I look up and see eyes looking at me how that conversation with the police would go.

FWIW, a friend (the usual "friend of a friend" who claims to know all of the details) told me that this has been an ongoing dispute between them, and that this is not the first time day care people have "climbed structures" to get a better look, and also that the yelling didn't start until the climbing was done.

Seems like an ongoing feud over a neighborhood business's noise level, a property rights vesus business rights issue that has escalated to include the police. Yes, I can see how that noise level reader looks like a firearm especially with that silencer on the end, but I think the news reporting these days is attrocious, and points are stretched beyond tortuous.

You know, Thompson makes a "violin carry case" for their Tommy Gun.....

Now see, this is something that really trips my trigger (so to speak):

"A Frisco woman was arrested on terroristic threat charges"

Our representatives passed these laws to combat terrorism, and aggressive DAs are applying them to domestic quarrels to escalate the charges.
I read a (yet another) study on why we have such a large percentage of our opulation in prisons. The conclusion was aggressive DAs pumping up their political credentials, to be re-elected or seek higher office.
