Campus carry isn't attached to anything, that was a phony headline.
Yes, it was said that a plan had been hatched to attach it to HB910, didn't happen...or at least not yet...and likely wont be.

If amended...it stands the risk of timing running out! What's the play here? Has a deal been struck to let HB910 move forward
without amendment...and to let SB11 do the same. Both side can take credit, and more importantly it sounds as if some sort
of a deal in the tax cuts has been reached. I don't think we would have seen this movement if it had not.
You mean Senate floor next week, right? Already passed the House. I don't know if SB 11 is done, or can still go through the house.
Yes...corrected that. thanks
If a "deal" has been made...its not to late for SB11, it will go to Calendars now....We know who controls that.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. Should have said "can still make it through the House"

After the last 24 hours I have a feeling that they made a deal and we will end up w/ HB 910 and SB 11 passing. That way both sides can claim victory.
Something happened for sure, I'm very pleased with yesterdays movement. After all we had heard about the "tax cut" issue holding things up and seeing
Gov. Abbott on the floor yesterday, one would be lead to think a "deal" has been struck. It just makes sense, HB308 was dead...so the senate moved SB11 out.
HB308 still has good life and the amendments...so the Senate will take it up.....life is good at this very moment!
I don't have the greatest understanding of the deadlines, but I thought HB308 was dead because it didn't get a vote before the end of May 14. Is my understanding correct?

HB 308 was sent to Calendars Committee May 8 after the first reading. Tuesday May 12 was the deadline to distribute last House Daily Calendar with house bills & joint resolutions.

In looking at the minutes of the Calendars Committee from May 8 - May 12, HB 308 was not on them, so not scheduled for the House floor.

Unless I'm missing something here(which is possible, but I don't know how), time has expired for HB 308 to advance, seeing how it didn't make 2nd reading. I think it's dead.
