Maybe drifting a little here. When I signed up for Costco I went through their contract with a fine tooth comb. This was because of a conversation following the shooting at Costco of a CHL carrier. There WAS some language found about three pages deep on a PR site apparently associated with Costco, but there was no such language in the contract I signed.

That said, I see no reason to OC in Costco. If anyone there sees my weapon it'll be because I am employing judicious marksmanship in the defense of self, family or another.

Recently, on another site I visit, a couple of different guys had their pistols stolen from LOCKED gym lockers.

You may want to reconsider using a gym locker for your "precious".
It's happened at my gym as well. Some high school age kids brought some unwelcome guest in and they broke into the lockers and went through people's bags stealing valuables.

I referenced Costco as an example of a private membership outfit that has a policy to prohibit firearms in their premises, excep LEOs, open or concealed. They do not post signs, etc. it is in the "Member Privileges & Conditions" section and can be found on the Costco site. I imagine Costco is not interested in calling the cops, merely tells you to leave with the firearm and if you don't like it, they cancel your membership and refund the annual fee.

Resolute Health Center here has the signs and is a private membership club.

Abraham & Nightmare,

Thanks for the advice, I've been considering not bringing it in after all, and your thoughts have sealed it for me.
