WOW! That didn't take long to get that up. That's the first picture I've seen of the new signs. I still haven't seen them in real life yet.
I was thinking the same thing. Any idea where this is?
Yep. I took the picture. Brewster High School in White Settlement.
Ohhhh, the sarcasm I'm biting back tastes horrible
I've got thick skin.
BTW, that should have read Brewer not Brewster
Not for you...for this school.

sass2924, here is the best consolidation of info on signage from the New to CHL forum

I may be wrong in this but didn't they pass a law that says something about improper use of 30.06 signs? I know if a government building uses the sign that they can be fined for doing so. I don't know if that applies to govt places that are already excluded. In fact, these dumbasses should have cited a different statute like the one that says "no carrying in the following places..."
Interestingly, in my recent CHL instructor course, they also said that violating the 30.06 posting has been dropped from a class A misdemeanor to a class C. If you still don't leave after a verbal instruction to do so or other official notice, then it bumps to a Class A. This is particularly interesting because I think you would lose your CHL (soon to be LTC) for a Class A but not for a Class C, so a violation of 30.06 might just be a ticket with no other repercussions. Not encouraging anyone to willfully break the law, but just informing you of what I was told.

Your CHL instructor is correct, but note that this portion of the law does not go into effect until 1/1/2016. Also, be careful that the following locations, while they still must be posted with valid 30.06, can get you on a class A under 46.035
Church
Hospital
Amusement Park
Nursing Home
Dallas Zoo is arguing that they are a government owned "amusement park" and can therefore lawfully post 30.06. If their claim is sustained and you get caught you could face a class A right off under PC 46.035.
