Per the article, he fired a single round and struck a criminal. How exactly is that "pray and spray?". It's exactly the opposite - a dang good shot.

My dad was a veterinarian and a religious man. He always prayed before he spayed.

Are you guys reading the same article that I did?
The article I saw said, "The homeowner returned fire. One of his bullets....."

They were still a threat and might come back again.

Teens?

If you're shooting at me, with the potential of killing me, my loved ones, my neighbors, I'm supposed to be swayed to not return fire because you're a teenager and that confers immunity?

Puh-leeze.

If they are no longer posing a threat (fleeing) you better not fire. If they still pose a threat....fire away.....I don't care what age they are

Obviously it is situation dependent, but if they are fleeing and shooting they still pose a threat. In that case I will still shoot. Also, I can't imagine I would convict a guy, if I were to be on a jury, if he shot someone who had just tried to shoot him. Honestly I wouldn't care if they were fleeing after the fact.

Um, yes, you can. Read Chapter 9 of the Penal Code.

He wasn't trying to shoot anyone in the back. He was returning fire.

You seem to to be doing everything you can to put some kind of guilt on the homeowner. So far you've accused him of shooting at fleeing suspects, spraying and praying and now shooting people in the back. Is there something you'd like to share with the group?
