Generally CHL's and forum users know guns and are decent folks to deal with.

I've bought several handguns from fellow forum users with just very minimal external inspection and only got bit once on a pricey Sig semi-auto.
Don't assume that because it is a high end gun it means that it is owned by a knowledgeable owner.

I failed to follow the following rules:

1 - Be sure that the seller is not a brand new forum user who just recently racked up the elapsed membership time and number of posts that allow him to post a for sale gun (this is not fatal to the deal, but...it should have been a warning in my case)

2 - Don't be in a hurry and do the deal where you can field strip the gun and look for any sign of lube on the rails and other sliding parts (yes, a good semi-auto will run completely dry without any lube at all for quite a long time apparently!). No sign of lube, don't even go to step 3. - cancel the deal right then and there

3 - Look for obvious excessive wear, galling and otherwise missing metal, shiny metal where it should be blue on the sliding parts of the barrel, slide, and frame. Excessive looseness. There will be lots of these issues on a dry semi-auto.

I'm sure Glock makes an excellent weapon. However, their ergonomics do not agree with me. I prefer a 1911 or a H & K I stumbled on ( USP compact) which has very similar dimentions you are looking for and is very comfortable and concealable in a Crossbreed Super Tuck.

GT will sell LEO models to qualified buyers, no? or is it open buffet for all?

As a general rule, GT will sell to anyone. Certain items have special pricing for LEO, military, or GSSF. Some items (mostly certain ammo), they will only sell to LEO.

Honestly, I consider that gun to be in the "compact" category. OTOH, I view my PPS as "subcompact", which I think is not a common opinion, so maybe my sense of scale is off (or maybe it's everyone else who's wrong ).

Everyone thinks that their gun is the best. That's why they have it! I'm no different.

For a 9mm with a polymer body that feels good and shoots well, check out a Sig SP2022.

I like the PPQ a lot, but the grip was just too long for me. That's not the PPQ's fault though. I'm too picky about my carry guns
