That's how I started out carrying while waiting for my CHL, but I made it a point to remember to leave the gun in the vehicle once I got out. (unless I was going directly from home to car or vise versa) I probably wouldn't suggest that most people do it though. There is certainly the possibility of forgetting.

But it still has to be concealed - either on your person or in the vehicle somewhere, but either way concealed - correct?
