Maybe we should sell 30.07 signs and only 30.07 signs, at a reduced cost. I am at the point that I am relieved when I see a business posted 30.07 and not 30.06. That tells me that they probably won't post 30.06.
How about free. Consider it like a charity donation. I'm in.

They don't help with the language they use on their advertising... "Be sure your business is in compliance with the new law!!!"

The fine folks at the Dublin Bottling Works have a similar sign on their cash register which references 30.07 and advises it is illegal to openly carry bottle openers or something similar.......it's been awhile.

Most businesses will continue to post both signs as long as they believe (erroneously or not) that the majority of their clientele wish to see the signs posted. I personally do not do business with private businesses that officially (by posting legal signage) do not support my God given right to self defense. I don't mind telling them that either, in a polite and respectful way of course.

I was in Copy Dot Com getting some printing done. On the counter where you order, were a number of laminated 11 x 17 sales sheets on ordering 30.06 and 30.07 signs. I guess this was to make it easier to choose which style of sign and which one you wanted for your business. BTW there were no other sales sheets on the counter just these.
Naturally they had the 30.07 sign with the gunbuster logo first called Prohibit Open Carry and next to it was a 30.06 sign with the gunbuster logo also called Prohibit Open Carry as well.
Nice.

I've heard this statement several times, but I don't think it's a parallel analogy. In the 90s, the signdemonium went away because the 30.06 law was passed in a subsequent session of congress. Many businesses had already posted gunbuster signs, and because the firearms were concealed, they had no impetus to update the signs. I would submit that many businesses spent 20 years assuming the gunbuster signs were sufficient to keep all guns off of their premises.
So basically what we saw was a proliferation of gunbuster signs, a new law passed, and sparse postings of 30.06. That is not the same as a proliferation of 30.06 signs that later came down. I've never seen somebody purport the latter to be true.
I supported open carry (and still do), but it doesn't mean I have a rosy outlook on what's been going on, either. There are a few key things to consider for 2017 that could potentially help, including:
- An update to the 30.06 sign language (but leaving the 30.07 signs as is)
- Decriminalization of 30.06 at businesses open to the public
- LTC authorization to carry where off-duty / retired LEO can carry

I suppose that may be the case, But, and it's a big but, We had twenty years to go through the CHL fears and have yet barely seen a month of OC. So I guess we'll just have to see if it blows over. I certainly hope so, because to me it seems that people in general have become so fearful of seeing a gun on a regular Joe, that they have a knee jerk reaction to a non issue. That and I think we have been under the thumb of liberals for so long that many don't how to be free. And we still have a long ways to go. Much rides on the next election...
I am surprised hollywood hasn't came out in full force with make believe trash against open carry like they did in 1986 when Florida became a shall issue CHL state. They came out with a movie that showed people carrying six shooters and the like, in bars and getting into old west style gun fights over petty offenses like looking at your woman, etc. Total hollywood hogwash!

Why don't we get the names of the sign-makers and spread it around the gun community not to buy from these yahoos?
