Very simple. If they get caught, they get arrested & charged with violating P.C. 30.05. They are arrested, photographed, fingerprinted, and jailed. They post bond, hire an attorney, and spend a few thousand dollars to get the case dismissed. The Wall wrote:What if someone is color blind?

Maybe we will start seeing purple lines on business' doors. Kinda like I have seen one or two printed or hand drawn signs on a business that is not a bar with a big red "51%" on them... like that is going to stop me.

Around the corner from me are a group of horizontal stripes. Seems he got a bit confused.

Most color blind people can see the "no hunting purple" color they use.The Wall wrote:What if someone is color blind?

Having run off many trespassers fishing in my pond and as well as those wandering around my bluebonnets in the spring, nearly every one of them tells me "I'm sorry, I did not know you owned this."The Wall wrote:What if someone is color blind?
My reply is "Since you do not own it then it really makes no difference who owns it. Leave and never come back or you will be prosecuted."
I do have signs up in multiple locations. Often when the bluebonnet fanciers are taking pictures I point out that their pictures will be good evidence in court since they also photographed the no trespassing signs.

I still have a partial quart of oil based purple paint we used for a while on portions of our gun range property. When the law was first implemented, 30.05 also had some verbiage that required a sign at the gate(s) explaining the meaning of purple paint on the posts or trees. We discussed the new law change in hunter education classes and on our hunter skills trail. I also recall that some of the local Moms Demand Action types of that era tried to claim the purple posts had something to do with undesirable gender identity.

For those of you who travel or hunt in other states, some of them use a color other than purple.anygunanywhere wrote:"Since you do not own it then it really makes no difference who owns it.

Last year I had two small bunches of rare white bluebonnets amongst all of the regular ones. The odds are around 270 million to 1 for these mutations to occur. I came home one Sunday from Mass and there was a car parked on my property with three young adults standing in my bluebonnets. The Wall wrote:I just added "joe817 wrote:Very simple. Sorry about that. What makes people think it's okay to go onto someones property without permission? I don't care if it's to look at flowers or anything else short of an emergency. I guess it's this entitlement society we are turning into.
I pulled my truck over in front of their car, got out and walked up to them. I asked them what they were doing. They were photographing my white bluebonnets. I asked them who they were and they told me they were the grandchildren of the man I bought the property from. I asked them why they did not ask permission before trespassing on my property. I reminded them that prior family ownership does not remain once deed has passed to new owner. I also commented on their walking on my flowers while photographing the rare ones.

Shucks... I'm a city boy, but even I know about the purple paint.

I'm curious. If someone was driving by and stopped and asked you for permission to take some pictures of your flowers would you let them?anygunanywhere wrote:There is little respect left in the world.

Absolutely. I would then explain my rules and thank them for asking.WildBill wrote:I'm curious. If someone was driving by and stopped and asked you for permission to take some pictures of your flowers would you let them?anygunanywhere wrote:There is little respect left in the world.
The same goes for fishing in the pond. No one has ever asked but I must have caught 30 or 40 people, often groups fishing. Once there were 3 4x4s parked on my property with 6 men fishing. Me and my neighbor have found evidence of pot smoking and used condoms on the banks of the pond. Prior to our cracking down the shore was trashed every weekend, mostly from night visitors.
There are a few folks who fish often. My neighbor and I know who they are. Everyone else gets questioned and if they do not have permission they leave with a warning. I have only had to threaten to call the Sheriff once when the individuals claimed they did not speak English. They remembered pretty quickly.
The angriest I have ever been was when someone drove an ATV through my bluebonnets doing donuts.
