Got one in San Antonio too.
"The Bombay Bicycle Club, or rarely the B.B.C., is a restaurant chain that has multiple restaurants in many locations across the United States, including California. It originated as an Indian restaurant chain.

It was founded in 1898, by a group of British colonial officers whose duty was to police the streets of Bombay on bicycles."

Man, you'd think they'd be jumping on plane, trains, buses and, er, bicycles to go protest those.

For many years on the corner of Alabama and Westlayan* was the Confederate House. Excellent food, old fashion Southern charm, I always enjoyed it when someone suggested this restaurant. As a young Northerner, not yet completely accustomed to South yet, I was initially embarrassed at the name. However, I now look back fondly of the fine meals I had there.

Highly unlikely that Jolanda Jones shares my fond memories.

* a 40 story apartment tower is at that location now. How times change.

There are two Oregons as there are two Washingtons and Kalifornias. There is the left wing, liberal anti-gun mindset on the seaward western slopes of those states and there are the real people who live inward on the eastern slopes. Been there, seen that.

I'd live in California again, but never in Kalifornia.
