"But regardless if it's ignorance or deliberate. It gets everyone thinking that an AR15 can shoot automatically, and than when antigun politicians talk about assault weapons, everyone is thinking AR15 or other semiautomatic weapons should be included"
I think they have already succeeded there. I think if you took a poll, the majority of non gun owners think all AR-15s are auto and you can just go buy one at Academy. Why wouldn't they? EVERY bad guy on TV has one that is auto. And a surprising number of good guys. Do LEO even have access to full auto M$, M16s ?

Soap wrote:I honestly I don't think these movies have an anti gun agenda. Black widow, hawkeye, winter soldier, falcon and more all USE GUNS. Captain America used a 1911 in his first movie.
To back up my claim: In the Ant Man movie the ants stopped a Glock from firing by blocking the HAMMER. Yup the Glock had an exposed Hammer. So I will say it's just ignorance.
Now I'm going to have watch Ant Man again.

The ant thing was stupid, even if it was a 1911 the force of the hammer would have squished those ants and make good contact with firing pin

Pretty decent action hero movie, good special effect, etc. I caught the mention of "A-15", and I'd wager it was just pure ignorance on the part of the movie folks. Actually, I'm more amazed they didn't call them "AK-47s". Just like every semi-auto handgun is a "Glock".

Just as "Taco Bell" won the franchise wars, resulting in all restaurants being "Taco Bells" in the future, film makers believe Glock will win the pistol wars.
I'm still unsure of what to do with the 3 shells.

Yeah man it's there. It's so bad they actually show him holding the Glock to someones head and you see no hammer, a second later you see the ants attack the same Glock and there is all of a sudden a hammer to stop. I totally think it's ignorance. If they really wanted to push an anti gun agenda they would do it hard. They have the ability to, in fact it would be the main subject of civil war.
