I run XS 24-7 big dots on my 27. They are very fast. They provide a flash sight picture...almost like an aid to point shooting. I can draw from concealment and in my peripheral vision obtain a sight picture to get off a round quicker than I can with any other sight system.

I went with the XS 24/7 Big Dots. That have the tridium. We're super easy to install and came with all the tools I needed. I was gonna go with the advantage tactical until I shot my buddies gun with the XS sights and loved em. I have since got the sights and taken the g26 to the range and they were dead on and the easiest pistol sights I have shot. They also have the fastest target acquisition I have ever seen. Very happy. Will go on more guns in the future.

I have these on my G17, G43, and XDM-45. They are my go-to sights. I love 'em. That said, I bought a used G19 a while back from another forum member, and it had a blacked out rear sight with a Big Dot front, and I like that one about as much as the Trijicon HDs on the other guns - the one difference being that the blacked out Trijicon rear sights have tritium lamps in them for low-light use, and the Big Dot has a "heinie"-type of vertical line on the rear sight. That said, it works intuitively. The one thing the Trijicon HD sight has is the ring of phosphorescent color around the front tritium lamp, which gets charged up by bright light, and continues to glow during transitions into darkness until the tritium is glowing brightly enough to see clearly.

In complete darkness, after the bright color fades, you're left with a normal, pretty bright, green tritium front sight:

Here is what the Big Dot sight looks like on the G19:

I've run about 3500 rounds through my XDs since I installed Trijicon HD Night Sights. I am a huge fan. My eye finds that front sight instantly. Having said all that, I am intrigued by these which were mentioned earlier in this thread:
