Tragic and horrible news. Nonetheless, where is Hilary and her ilk (all Anti-2ndA) to call for ban on assault knives.
You mean like these?

BTW, there's a priceless photo accompanying the article of a woman standing in front of a UK "Knife Bin" where people can relinquish all manner of deadly items...like kitchen knives, forks, and screwdrivers. Under the banner, "Only Cowards Carry," is a headshot Tickle Me Elmo.

From the article:
She said: “I really believe all knives should be licensed. That way if someone is carrying one there has to be a reason.
“For example, if you are a fisherman you may need to have a knife, but that would be licensed.
“The licence fee would then fund the education the kids need. That’s what I would like to see.”
She wants people to have to get a license to own a knife to clean
fish!

I am constantly amazed by the people, supposedly educated people, who believe that if you pass a law, or create some way to license something, it can actually be controlled. Where will they draw the line? Will you have to come in and have your fists, measured, along with fingerprints to verify they belong to you, and that you have received proper instruction on their use and/or misuse? Then they can put the info into a data base, and then everyone will know that they can't use their fists in an inappropriate manner.

What if you lose a hand in an industrial accident, will they give you a discount on your licensing fee? Also will they be able to tell if you struck someone so rapidly that they could be classified as assault fists?
