No, by "make it a clickable link", I meant like this:

If you'll edit your original post by copying that line into it, and replacing "VeryLongURL.com" with the link you gave, then it will just say "Click here", instead of a URL that's four pages wide.

Great! Thanks, Chas.

Version 3 of phpBB doesn't have that problem; it automatically shortens them to fit. I haven't upgraded yet on my forum, but another I subscribe to has.

I've thought about installing it on TexasIDPA.com to give it a test run. That forum doesn't see much activity, so it would be a good test bed.
