Lubbock is paradise man. Where else does it rain or snow mud due to the dirt in the air? Plus you can't say you don't love the smell of cow crap in the morning!

I'm sorry, come on down to Stinky-dena where benzyle-rot-your-gut hangs in the air and puts a nice shine on your teeth in the morning...

If the wind is just right...Well...The wind is never just right come to think of it...

That's alright....you can keep that part of the Petro Chemical industry all to yourselves down there.

I have family all over that area...Friendswood, Kemah, Webster.....those are not too bad, but then there is my Aunt and Uncle in....

It's a dificult call.

There are two people in the less desirable neighborhoods in Galveston who have stood up to the local thugs. They have variously had threatening phone calls, arson attempts, and missing pets.

- Jim
It certainly is...And folks like us are very capable of dealing with certain issues like this...

Threatening phone calls don't bother me too much...I'll let you talk yourself silly (all you want) into that hole without any problem...

If they are stupid enough to ratchet the situation up another notch...Thats their bad call...

Arson attempts and messing with someones pets are again, acts of cowards, and if you catch them in the act...Well, we should know the law and how it applies and governs our actions at that point...

I believe in the long run cooler heads (ours) will prevail, and it ususlly won't come close to you having to move, or having to make some other drastic decision...
They haven't done anything at this point. I'm pretty sure the local police told them how it was going to be. The police don't have a lot to do around here, so they can come down on someone if they need to. That's why I moved here anyway.

It's sad that I have to live this way. My dad says I shouldn't worry about it and go about my business. I've never been like that though. I've always been the type to look over my shoulder. I don't think I should have to in my own yard, but I do.

Has anything happened to you as a result of dealing with this stuff? Or an attempt made for something to happen to you?
