You raise a good point. A one-size-fits-all solution often ends up fitting all poorly.Liberty wrote:I am not crazy about flashlights as a tactical or combat equipment. An individual or couple sharing a bedroom, with nobody else living in their home, can make certain reasonable assumptions about a bump in the night. A couple with a child living at home would make different assumptions, which may vary based on the age of the child/children at home. A couple with a non-resident son or daughter who lives nearby but has keys to the family house, might have a completely different set of assumptions, and might be wise to establish protocol for unannounced visits.
Similarly, the reasonable assumptions for somebody living on 50 acres in the country are different than somebody living on a 1/5 acre lot in the suburbs. Not to mention the person who lives in a 500 sqft loft downtown and walks to work.
