Bleh. As you know I was born and raised here but it's changed a lot since I was younger. The Bay Area is unlivable for the average young family and political extremism has been normalized. We're just sick of it. This new job gives us the perfect excuse to leave.

Hard to beat the weather and scenery. That I will miss but it's not reason enough to stay. If San Luis Obispo ever secedes from the state then I could see retiring there...
