The responses have been exactly as I had thought.

I will continue to carry as I always do. Maybe even think about storing weapons in other areas.

...but I don't think I could sleep well with an IWB rig. I roll around too much. LOL

:iagree: That is always the safest place and condition for a handgun.
That being said in the name of honesty. I must admit I take my gun off almost the minute I get home. It's just how I get comfortable.

While I am at home doing all my normal stuff I carry a gun in my pocket from the time I get up to when I go to bed. My wife thinks I am paranoid. I told her that it's not all that uncommon.

Thanks for your reply.

She'll think you are paranoid until a few thugs kick in the front door...

I don't carry if I'm in the house and the doors & windows are locked.

I carry if I'm in the yard or if we're in and out of the house.

I also put a gun on if I see someone pull up in the driveway.

Yes they do.....they have stolen many from nightstands and under mattresses!

Nothing worse than waking up to a bad guy who has just taken your gun from your nightstand and is now pointing it at you (if he knows how to operate it notwithstanding)!

My Ruger SP-101 .357 is under my pillow and always within reach while I m in the bed.

When out of the bed, I always have my daily carry on my person or in my robe pocket!

The ONLY time I am truly disarmed is in the shower. I haven't quite figured out how to address that!

Within reach is a different thing than in the bed/on the body. I just wondered about how safe that would be - having a gun in that close proximity but out of your conscious control.

A Glock with maritime spring cups maybe?

And maybe one of those suction cups with magnets to hold the gun to the shower wall...
