Hey guys...is this more fake news? Visited the on-line edition of the Houston Chronicle and found this headline: "Armed Protesters With Confederate Flags Fill Hermann Park"...hmmmmm.

There was one (1) confederate flag in their photo gallery. There were zero (0) in the video posted on this forum by someone who was there.

And people wonder why everyone is hating on the media these days.

My curiosity is up, so did they just not show or did they arrive and decide that it was best to just leave? Wonder what their organizers told the followers, I know curiosity caused the cats demise but I would like to know.

My personal theory is they used this as a "test" to see what sort of response they would get. If they had received a diminished response, they would have decided to proceed with their "protest". The fact that this test showed that Texans will come out in numbers, shows that Texas is probably not the place to be doing this. Just my 2 cents.

It looks like they changed it. It now reads...

The police were very well organized. There were those moveable metal railings everywhere. There were two small groups that were separated from what I would describe as "everybody" by a ring of those metal barriers. It was like they were a club or something.

One group had a tent etc. and flew a confederate flag. They seemed like nice folks there were even children in their group. Total of maybe 30 in their group.

Another group marched in with a mounted police escort front and back at about 10:20. They also had a confederate flag amoung others. They had other flags including one with their logo. Some people had white masks on. They looked not as friendly and the police would not allow passer bys to get even close to them. I just assumed they were white supremisits. Maybe 60 in their group.

Everyone else was a mixed bag of: Texas flag wavers, Lots of OC folks, People in camo, men and quite a few women, Anglos, blacks, lots of people smiling, greeting and talking, with everyone asking where was Antifa.

The everyone group had folding chairs, Pavillion type tents, I swear thought I saw some one BbQing. So all in all it was a fun little get together with lots of OC rifles and pistols to look at.

My feeling is like others mentioned a trail run to see how many would show up. Also heard some sort of deal was going on in La Marque and they felt to do this to try and get people from attending the rally in La Marque, don't know if true or not or if anything was even going on there.

How were you able to determine their white supremacist identity?
