Pentagon nominee says insane for civilians to own semi-auto

When I joined the Army I swore an oath to defend the Constitution. Does the Air Force release their folks from this oath when they leave service? I know that I was never released from mine.

I retired from the USAF in 1994. Sometime in the late '80s, I started hearing officers say that Air Force Regulations were merely suggestions. I repeatedly asked them, "If that's true, how is it that I can be court marshaled for violating a "suggestion"?" Not once did I get an answer.

Maybe if they disciplined and/or fired the lazy ones, then the rest of them might not be so overworked!!!

As we all know about 80% of the actual work is done by 20% of the employees in the industry.
I do not think the Government administration is doing better in regards to those statistics.
In other words, it may actually hard to fire or punish the wrong individual.
I am not saying all are lazy or bad but it just takes one bad mushroom to spoil the soup.
