Well, we once had a war because states wanted to secede.

Rather than have them split up into different states, or secede, I'd like to see them either demoted to a territory or 'completely kicked out of the union' - let Mexico have it. Well, Mexico would probably reject it as too filthy and awful. And believe me, I've been all over Mexico and never saw the filth california has become and continues to worsen.

Have you seen the rampant squalor? It's everywhere and the few places it isn't - will be. And soon. This is Mad Max, only not a movie and a lot dirtier...

I foresee outbreaks of cholera and all the other kinds of medical awfuls the unhygienic, beggar class can gestate.

Soon, if you have to go there, you'll be require to have a series of inoculations equal to going to some disease ridden African/Indian country.

We need to yank our military and others we care for - out of there.

If they extend that new California to include the San Francisco Bay Area, I'd be on board. I work in the bay, but I live in the Central Valley. Where I live is fairly Conservative. However, the Bay is the most liberal place I've ever been. Most of the state is rural and a lot of it is conservative. Unfortunately, the population in the cities of LA, SF, Sac, and San outnumber the rest of the state.

instead of splitting up into 3 states california just needs to have one good earthquake and float out into the sea...

California “could” split into 3 states, Texas “could” split into 5 states. Neither is likely to happen.

But, to play what if, should California be allowed to split then Texas should split into same number of sections as Kali.

A North vs South water fight is coming. There's going to come a time that the north is going to get sick of sending water south. Water rights is a huge mess there right now.
