OK, it is theoretically possible, but HIGHLY unlikely, even if Trump were removed from office. Pence is as clean as a whistle, and always has been. That’s a BIG reason why he was selected as a running mate - that, and his experience through his long familiarity with both Congress and as a chief executive of a state. I rather suspect that, internally, Pence’s role is also as somewhat of a mentor/advisor to Trump on how political processes work.
IF Trump is removed, Pence will survive the intrigue and emerge as President, because he is no dummy, and he knows where the congressional democrat bodies are buried. He will appoint his own VPOTUS, and then just like Ford did with Nixon, he’ll pardon Trump. He’ll do that, not just to stick an arrow in the left’s heart of darkness, but also as the most expedient means of promoting national healing and a return to normalcy.
If the worst that the left can say about Pence is that he refuses to share a meal with a woman unless his wife is present, that’s not only not a big deal; that is a standard to which at least half of the country holds themselves, and they’ll see it as a plus....including married female voters.
