Looks like that's just his opinion from when he was the pistol range officer. It's no more or less valid than that of the guy who runs the website! Lighten up.

If you wish to trash a particular weapon/manufacturer
please provide verifiable data to back your analysis.
Let me get this right - when someone offers a criticism based on their
first-hand observations, you want a statistical analysis and "verifiable" data?
By that standard, I guess you discount virtually everything that anyone posts here about a product - good
or bad - without associated paperwork that meets your requirements.

From what I understand both Berretta and Taurus have experienced problems with the locking block cracking. As I understand it the issues have been addressed through improve metallurgy on the newer guns. I also don't have statistical data handy.
