A valid argument, but don’t forget to take into account the amount of time it will take to stand up an entirely new manufacturing plant.....even a relatively small one. And if it’s not well funded right up front, then construction will depend on the owners’/investors’ cash flow situation.

And that is what I already did, long before the COVID-19 pandemic or the elections. My ammo buying philosophy: buy 1000, shoot 200; buy 1000 more, shoot 200; buy 1000 more, shoot 200; etc, etc, etc. Keep doing that, and pretty soon you have a LOT of ammo on hand. We’ve done that for both 9mm and .223/5.56, and to a lesser extent with smaller purchases in .308, .300 Blk, and 7.62x39. I wish now I had purchased larger quantities of 7.62x39, but it wasn’t really my thing. I bought the AK to help a friend, but it wasn’t my primary rifle interest. It came with 500 rounds of ammo, and I bought another 500 rounds later, but that was it. I did exactly that in june...
