so who will DNC pluck to be the nominee? it will still be Biden and they toss in big mike as his vp running mate. Hillary is to much of a LIFE threat for joe. imo
hillary would only win if the MAIL if fraud is some how moved through congress and becomes law..but wait trump would never sign this ? either way lets warm up some printers
without mail in ballots, the DNC would still cheat lie and steal to make the candidate win. We saw evidence last time of massive fraud, how can we stop it? voter ID with the new ID cards right

If Biden isn't the nominee, all those people that voted for him will stay home, now if Biden has a tragic accident soon after he picks a running mate that might work!

Except that the VP position IS elected. The electoral college has an election for POTUS, and a separate election for VPOTUS.

It is a little known (other than to election geeks) point that the primaries are solely to determine the party nomination and the party may change the nomination. In most cases, the change has to be because of some reason that disqualifies the candidate. Examples of this are the candidate no longer resides in the district he would be representing or the candidate died between the primary and the general election. If something happens to Biden now (before the nomination), for example the DNC decides he is not electable due to being a pervert, then the convention gets to name a replacement without regard to any primary election. In a scenario like this, the article is correct that a Clinton candidacy is possible.
It is very debatable to say Obama is permissible as a vice-presidential candidate. He could not be elected to president again, so this is the real question. Where the Constitution says he must not be barred from being president, are they talking about being elected or actually serving. I am not sure how the SCOTUS would rule on that. You have the very interesting position of judges who may not want Obama in office, even as VP, but who believe in taking the strict wording of the Constitution as their guideline. The scenario to be debated would be that something happens to the president in the first year of the term. VP Obama is constitutionally barred from serving more than two more years. He cannot serve more than two of the three years remaining on the term. Could he take office for that time period? What happens if he declines to resign at the end of his second year?
My guess is even the liberals who would support him would gag at these restrictions and weird scenarios. I think that SCOTUS would rule that the Constitution means that the VP candidate must be legally allowed to be the Presidential candidate or he could not run. Since I am not rich, I am obviously not a very good fortune teller. I am also not a SCOTUS justice. I could very well be wrong on how they will rule.
But, in all honesty, I doubt it would ever come to this. I don't think the DNC would put Hillary on ANY ballot again. I also doubt they would put Obama on any ballot again. He certainly has not done much to help the party since he got out of office. I would guess that if the accusation gets better legs and takes down Biden (which is possible), the DNC would look at other candidates from this year's campaign to nominate. My best guess is that they would pick Elizabath Warren for President. They might look for another female, such as Amy Klobuchar, for VP. Without Biden, they would be effectively writing off this year's election and trying to build political momentum for the next term. Having the first all-female ticket would get them a lot of votes from people who don't look at issues.
