McCain's heroism is beyond question. What would his replacement in the senate be doing?

He's a hero you say? Consider this:
- 33 POW's faced execution for treason after Vietnam, McCain was one of them.
- He betrayed his fellow POW's [call sign: "song bird"] regularly ratting them out to their captors.
- He revealed procedures that helped kill other fliers.
- Then there was that propaganda recording he made for Hanoi.

His replacement would be on the floor voting. McCain over his career has missed over 10% of all votes. With his cancer treatment he is out much more. I don't predict that he will be back to the senate doing much more. So why is he doing this beyond power and vanity? A hero knows when to hand things over to the next person.

Wow, can't believe anyone is still repeating this line of unsubstantiated rumors. What isn't total bull is at best half-truths taken out of context.

Snopes has turned into a surrogate for the Progressive Left, and politifact has been proven to have a left leaning bias as well. :waiting:

If he resigns, a conservative might be appointed to fill the rest of the term. That's why.

We can hope.

If McCain had any remaining honor, he would have stepped down from his Senate seat when he was chosen as the Republican candidate for President. Instead he left himself in a seat of power for when he let progressive socialist Barry Soetoro beat him in 2008.

If you have any thoughts that the Iran “deal” was a good thing, here is Iranian Parliment shouting death to America and burning the American flag after Trump’s announcement.

Rush today pointed out that the Iran Deal was not signed or voted on by Iran. So it was just really a promise by Obama that he would do certain things, like give them lots of cash. Somebody want to Snoopes that for me.

https://www.nationalreview.com/2015/11/ ... ng-signed/

BTW it was never brought to the Senate for approval as required for it to be a real treaty, it was one of Obama’s phone and pen things.

Trump welcomes home the remaining 3 hostages held in North Korea.

Near as I can tell they are all healthy, unlike the one hostage returned under the Obama administration who died within a few days of being released. The near death college student, who had entered North Korea as a tourist as part of a Chinese run college student program, had been tortured to the point he was blind, deaf and had had all his teeth removed and replaced into different spots.

Such was the fear North Korea had for America under the Obama/Clinton/Kerry watch.

Voting for the new CIA director.

Trump announces 5 top ISIS commanders captured in Iraq with fake text messages.

North Korean hostage was seized and tortured during Obama’s administration, but returned near death during Trump administration, my mistake.

Trump has one of his best weeks.

Three Hostages released from North Korea

Black unemployment all time low

Unemployment at lowest since 2000

Ended Iran Nuclear Deal

Captured 5 top ISIS leaders

Set date for Korean Summit

North Korea begins dismantling nuclear program in advance of summit.

Instead of mentioning these, MSM discusses leaked comment made in private by staffer about John McCain’s likely death.
