It is becoming apparent that having 4 different addresses in the past 5 years can really slow down the application process. :waiting:

Same boat except for the fact I mailed my packet in 5 days before you and your fingerprints and background check are already complete!

Sorry to here that. Did you apply online or sent whole packet in?
From what I was told the process is a little faster if you apply online.

OK, just a reminder, THE POST OFFICE IS OPEN FRIDAY, so we have a chance :totap:

We just all need to be patient "rlol" "rlol" I know fat chance but it sounds adult like.

NavyGunner got his on Wednesday, did his Wally walk, successful I might add  then had subway so he is all set.

Hopefully tomorrow many more of us will accomplish our Wally walk after the mail shows up. The wife is ready, i'm still in rercovery so it will be several weeks before I can venture out :totap: :thumbs2: but it will be worth it.

So, thanks to all and hopefully tomorrow will have been nice knowing you all on this side of things... "rlol" "rlol" "rlol"
Just having some fun. :anamatedbanana

Bye until the mail person comes. :txflag:

I did my Wally walk last night.

I was pretty surprised that I wasn't more apprehensive about it. I did, however, pull my shirt straight about 30 times.

The MTAC was very comfortable for me while walking around but was miserable in the car so I am still working on the fine adjustments.

Yep, I applied online and sent the whole packet in just as my CHL instructor recommended.

that will change, and rather quickly.
I got my license in April, and like you, I was rather conscious of carrying my weapon and was checking constantly.
In a week (or less), I could see I was checking less and less, and now I check when I get out of the car and that is about all.
When I even think about checking, I ask myself why I am checking and leave it alone.

did you have a problem with dropping stuff? maybe it is the clothes i am wearing/the holster but you can definitely see the pistol grip when picking up stuff.

I carry a Springfield XD9sc, in a Crossbreed IWB MiniTuck holster, and it is about 3:30 on my hip.
if I bend over and touch my toes, you MIGHT be able to see the tip of my grip, but I don't worry about it.
At times, I have bent over to retie my shoes, so instead of bending at the hip, I squat to a knee and do it.

I rarely wear with a shirt tucked, but I have always (even before getting CHL) wore shirts that were a bit loose, so when I do tuck, it covers nicely.

Normally I wear an Under Armor T-Shirt, at most, 1 size too large for my body (im 6' and 250lbs) and those that know I carry all of the time, have never seen me print.

Also bear in mind, printing is NOT illegal, so once you get more comfortable carrying, but also wearing the right clothes (you really do have to be conscious of the clothing choices you make when you carry), and also get a good gun belt (I never believed it would make much of a difference, but it does!), you will find yourself less aware you are even carrying a weapon.
